Terms and conditions for using InboxGo.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using InboxGo ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you ("you" or "user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Service Description
InboxGo is a privacy-focused, secure email service currently in private beta. The Service provides:
- End-to-end encrypted email transmission
- Secure email storage and management
- Web-based email client interface
- Privacy-focused features including tracking detection
- Spam and malware protection
The Service may be modified, enhanced, suspended, or discontinued at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Have a valid invite code during the beta period
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
- Using a strong, unique password
- Enabling two-factor authentication when available
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or commercial communications without consent
- Transmit malware, viruses, worms, or any other harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
4.2 Content Standards
While we respect your privacy and do not routinely monitor email content, you are prohibited from using the Service to transmit content that:
- Is illegal, fraudulent, or promotes illegal activities
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains child exploitation material
- Promotes violence, terrorism, or hate speech
5. Beta Period Terms
The Service is currently in private beta testing. During this period:
- Features, functionality, and design may change without notice
- Service availability and performance are not guaranteed
- Bugs and errors may occur more frequently than in a production environment
- Your feedback and bug reports are valuable and appreciated
- Current pricing and storage limits may change after the beta period ends
- We may reset or migrate data with reasonable notice
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key privacy commitments:
- We encrypt your emails in transit and at rest
- We do not read, scan, or analyze your email content for advertising
- We do not sell your personal information or email content to third parties
- We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
- You can export and delete your data at any time
7. Storage and Service Limits
7.1 Storage Quotas
Free beta accounts currently include 100MB of storage for emails and attachments. If you exceed this limit:
- You will receive notifications before reaching the limit
- New incoming emails may be rejected or bounced
- You must delete emails or upgrade (when available) to receive new messages
7.2 Email Size Limits
Individual emails, including attachments, are limited to 25MB. Larger emails will be rejected.
7.3 Rate Limits
To prevent abuse, we impose reasonable rate limits on email sending, API requests, and other operations. Excessive use may result in temporary restrictions.
8. Data Backup and Availability
While we maintain regular backups of our systems:
- We do not guarantee the availability or recoverability of your data
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of important emails
- We recommend regularly exporting your data
- Service availability is not guaranteed during the beta period
9. Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 Our Rights
The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other materials, is owned by InboxGo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you send, receive, or store through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- You should export any data you wish to retain before deletion
10.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activities
- Your account poses a security risk to the Service or other users
- You fail to respond to security or verification requests
- Required by law or legal process
We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and an opportunity to remedy violations before permanent termination, except in cases of severe violations or legal requirements.
11. Warranties and Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR SECURITY.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
- Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INBOXGO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Loss or corruption of data
- Service interruptions or outages
- Any other matter relating to the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InboxGo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Content you transmit through the Service
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to seek an informal resolution.
14.2 Arbitration
Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.
15. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via:
- Email to your registered address
- Notice in the Service interface
- Update to the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which InboxGo operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and InboxGo regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
